Training Coordinator

LOCATION: DULUTH, MN

JOB SUMMARY:

TBI Residential & Community Services has an opening for a full-time Training Coordinator.   The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee all aspects of employee training and maintain compliance with licensing agencies.  The schedule for this position will include some evenings and weekends. 
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver all aspects of new employee orientation and training

  • Communicate with Program Managers and House Coordinators about training schedule for new hires

  • Assign and track annual recertification training (CPI, CPR/First Aid) for current employees

  • Maintain overall training records for all employees

  • Communicate with employees regarding upcoming trainings that are due to maintain work eligibility and compliance 

  • Knowledge of state statutes regarding Home and Community Based Service training requirements
    Maintain compliance with state licensing agencies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Associate Degree in a social services discipline; OR have two years of supervised experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors as well as co-occurring mental disorders or neurocognitive disorders.

  • Possess strong organization and communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)

  •  Must be dependable, mature, and able to use sound judgment and role model positive behaviors.

  • Must pass background check as required by state licensing agencies.

  • Understand and abide by TBI Residential and Community Services policies and procedures, health standards, behavioral techniques and diffusion of acting-out behavior.

Starting Wage
:  $16.00 per hour
